Perhaps what comes to mind when the name David Duchovny comes up is his role in the long running series, X-Files, as FBI agent Fox Mulder. Perhaps it's his role in the Showtime series, Californication.Or, perhaps, it's because he's been in the news lately. Earlier this summer he resurrected the role of Fox Mulder to play the part in the second feature film based on the series in X-Files: I Want to Believe. I haven't seen the movie yet, but will as soon as it comes to DVD.
However, lately he's been in the news for other reasons. First off, he made the news by the announcement he was headed to rehab for sex addiction. Then, the most recent news that he and his wife, Tea Leoni, splitting up. What a shame? To be honest who didn't see this coming?
David was born in 1960 and has a graduate degree in English Lit from Yale University. He was working on his doctorate when he decided to pursue acting as a career. He used to be a vegetarian, but still refrains from eating red meat. He speaks French, Latin and Hebrew.
Other movies he's been in include Things We Lost in the Fire, Zoolander and Evolution.
